Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1357209A2] A textile machine bobbin creel is supported on one side by an articulated lifting arm with a fixed rectangular box-frame having four pivot points for attachments. Movement of the creel from the upper operating position to the lower loading position is effected esp. by pneumatic cylinders (8) with compressed air feed pipes and valves either side of a gas spring. The box-frame hinged unit is supported on both sides by a gas spring (9) which is placed under compression when the creel swivels to the loading position. The gas spring is essentially parallel to and between two pneumatic cylinders. Also claimed is a pneumatic valve which operates the pneumatic cylinder. The valve has two chambers separated by a piston and is linked to a source of compressed air via a 3/2-way valve and further valve system including back-flow prevention valves.
