[origin: EP1358916A1] The binding has straps (9) extending from side edges of a baseplate (2) through articulating pins (14,15) and engageable with each other through a fastener to fix the person's boot to the baseplate. The straps are pivotable between an open position released from each other, and close position coupled to each other, in which the articulating pins energize the straps between any of the positions.
