[origin: EP1358965A2] The drive has a housing (14) for a rotary driven drive shaft (18), an eccentric element driven by the drive shaft and a tool drive shaft (30). The eccentric element is coupled to the tool drive shaft by a pivoting element (28) to drive the tool drive shaft about its longitudinal axis in oscillatory manner. The pivoting element is braced relative to the housing on both outer sides at its end remote from the tool drive shaft by springs (60,62). AN Independent claim is also included for the following: (a) a machine tool, especially a grinder or cutting machine, with an inventive device.
