[origin: EP1358967A1] The crimping pliers has a pair of pivotable grip parts (6a,6b) and two mutually relatively pivotable interacting clamp jaws (2a,2b) on which corresponding press profile inserts (16a,16b) are removably held by a latching connection (26). A guide (20,30) provided for insertion and holding of the press profile inserts essentially extends perpendicularly relative to the path of motion of the clamping jaws.
