Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1359244A2] The non-woven of synthetic polymers is subjected to one or more physical treatments. The nonwoven is moved in a rope or web form, preferably in a wet condition. In a preferred embodiment, the material is also subjected to a thermal treatment with oversaturated steam. The mechanical treatment preferably takes place in a standard rope scouring or dyeing machine. An Independent claim is made for the application of the material in clothing, home textiles, suitcase linings, shoe components, banners, car interiors and health and hygiene products.
