Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1359254A2] The expansion gap bridging system (1) especially for a road surface (3) on a bridge (6) has two finger plates (8) with projecting teeth (9) on each plate extending between the gaps between the teeth of the other. The end region of each finger plate has a flange (83) which can accommodate fastening bolts (84). The flanges on the plates may be embedded in concrete with steel reinforcing bars to form anchor profiles (7).
