Abstract (en)

[origin: WO02062639A1] The invention relates to a method for controlling brake pressure on the wheels of at least one axle of a motor vehicle. The steering angle or the steering angle speed and at least one parameter for identifying the direction of travel of the vehicle, the yaw velocity and/or the lateral acceleration and/or the wheel speeds are determined by sensor devices and are fed to an evaluation unit that evaluates the steering angle or the steering angle velocity and the parameter and produces actuating signals for the actuators for adjusting the wheel brake pressure on individual wheels on the basis of the evaluated steering angle or steering angle velocity and the parameter. In order to be able to recognize and correct a deviation from the desired direction of travel of the vehicle during braking, the evaluated steering angle or the steering angle speed and the parameter during brake actuation are compared and if said comparison shows that there is a deviation, a pressure difference of the brake pressure between at least two wheels is adjusted based on the result of said comparison if it is found that the vehicle travels straight.
