Abstract (en)

[origin: WO02057163A1] The invention relates to a spooling machine for winding at least one synthetic thread (17) into a spool (15). The spooling machine comprises a cross-winding device (16), a drive cylinder (7) in addition to two pivoting arms (10, 11) which are pivotably mounted on the machine frame (1) and which can be displaced independently from each other by means of drive mechanisms (14.1, 14.2). A spool spindle (28) is rotatably mounted on each pivoting arm (10, 11) and winds the threads around the periphery of the drive cylinder (7) by displacing the pivoting arms. During the winding, said spindle is guided according to an increase in the diameter of the spool (15) which corresponds to the increase in the diameter thereof. According to the invention, the pivoting arms (10, 11) are rotatably mounted on a common rotational axis (9) and can be rotated alternatively into an alternative position by means of the rotating drive mechanisms (14.1, 14.2) once the thread has been wound. The already coiled spool (15) can be replaced at the same point. The invention also relates to a device for winding a plurality of threads with a plurality of spooling machines which are arranged directly next to each other, preferably in a circular form.
