[origin: DE10219757C1] The earth drilling device has a drive head (18) for driving a rotary drilling tool (24), provided with at least one hydraulic setting device (28) for setting a tool component (26) of the drilling tool, supplied with the setting pressure via a rotary coupling (32). The latter uses an environmentally-friendly fluid, e.g. water, with a converter converting the setting pressure of the environmentally-friendly fluid into the hydraulic setting pressure for the hydraulic setting device.
