[origin: WO02068304A1] The invention relates to a winding shaft (1) for winding strip-type materials for slitter-winders, which longitudinally sever a thin, rolled metal sheet into individual strips (2) and wind said individual strips (2) to form reels (3). Said shaft is equipped with a hydraulic device for transmitting a constant torque from the core shaft (4) to the spools (16) of the individual reels (3), whilst the individual strips (2) are being wound under a constant strip tension (B).
