Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1362675A2] The transverse cutter has a knife (58) passing through a slot. The traction rods (22, 24) can be displaced vertically in the traverse (10), and are prestressed in a sprung raised position. The rods are above the traverse along with a knife carrier connected to the downward-facing knife. The middle part (14) has a receiving groove (48) in the upper side for the knife.
