Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1363087A1] The tubular coupling (1) for a pressurized container such as a heat exchanger condenser has a plug (3) with ring seals (5) that can be removed e.g. to replace a desiccant cartridge. The plug is held in place by a transverse plate (7) inserted through slots (8, 9) in the coupling walls, the plate having a through hole (10) for a rod (11) on the upper end of the plug. The plug can be removed only when the pressure inside the container has fallen to atmospheric level, when the rod can be rotated to allow projecting edges to pass through the hole and the plug can be pushed into the coupling as far as an inner shoulder (6) to enable the plate to be withdrawn.
