The sensor has a housing comprising multiple housing parts (12,14), accommodating sensor components (16). The housing parts are joined in a moisture-tight manner. The inner space of the sensor may be filled with a filler or sealing compound. The parts may be welded together. An Independent claim is included for a method of manufacturing a sensor.

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Sensor, insbesondere Ultraschallsensor eines Fahrzeugumfelderfassungssystems, mit einem aus mehreren Gehäuseteilen zusammengesetzten Gehäuse und mit innerhalb des Gehäuses untergebrachten Sensorbauteilen. Die Erfindung kennzeichnet sich dadurch, dass die Gehäuseteile feuchtigkeitsdicht miteinander gefügt sind.
