Abstract (en)

[origin: DE10108685C1] The invention relates to a retaining element for an interior panelling section of a vehicle. Said element comprises a first fixing element that can be connected to the interior panelling section, a second fixing element that can be connected to the body of the vehicle, an elastically and/or plastically deformable deformation element that lies between the two fixing elements and is connected to said elements and a tensile-force absorbing element that reduces the load on the deformation element in the direction of tension. The aim of the invention is to achieve a reproducible deformation of the retaining element. To achieve this, at least one end (17) of the tensile-force absorbing element (16) has a hook (18), which hooks onto one of the fixing elements (3, 4), or onto one end (14, 15) of the deformation element (7) on the fixing element side, and the hook (18) is open on the opposite side to the direction of tension (Zr).
