Abstract (en)

[origin: DE10108190A1] A hold-down metal plate for securing a fuel injection valve in a receiving opening of a cylinder head of a mixture- compressing internal combustion engine, comprising a fixing hole (2) which is penetrated by a fixing element which fixes the hold-down metal plate (1) to the cylinder head and on whose opposite end of the hold-down metal plate (1) a receiving opening (3) for receiving a fuel injection valve is disposed, said receiving opening (3) being divided by an introducing recess and being defined by a first and second fork end (6, 7) exerting a force upon the fuel injection valve, pressing the fuel injection valve against a pressure shoulder in the receiving opening of the cylinder head. The first and second fork end (6, 7) respectively have an undulated curvature, when seen from a cross-sectional view, which is oriented towards the fuel injection valve, a respective radius (R2) of the undulated curvature forming a bearing surface (13, 14).
