[origin: EP1364588A1] The machine for forming twin tobacco streams in a cigarette forming machine has a feed for layered metered amounts of tobacco (39-42) to at least two vacuum flow conveyors (50) defining flow surfaces (44). The feed has at least two storage shafts (40) extending successively transversely to the feed direction (91) of the flow conveyors. The storage feeds extend over the same width. Claims include a method for forming the tobacco streams.
