Abstract (en)
A front-loading clothes washing and/or drying machine (1) comprises a supporting and containing structure (2) with a front wall (3) containing a loading aperture (4). A door (5) is connected to the supporting structure (2) by at least one pivoting arm (8) positioned next to one side (9; 9') of the door (5) and connected, by a first end (10), rotatably but so as to be integral in translational movement, to the door (5), and, by a second end (11), rotatably but so as to be integral in translational movement, to the supporting structure (2). The pivoting arm (8) brings about a movement of the door (5) between a closed position, in which an inside surface (12) of the door (5) is against the loading aperture (4), thereby closing it, and an open position, in which the said inside surface (12) is against the front wall (3), thereby opening the loading aperture (4). <IMAGE>
