Abstract (en)
[origin: WO02072750A1] The invention relates to a cell and tissue culture reactor which is particularly suitable for culturing cells or tissues in the form of a thin layer, and which comprises means enabling it to ensure physiological stimulation and nutrition in a culture medium adapted to the reduced thickness of the culture. The reactor can be used in the preparation of an implant and also comprises means for ensuring mechanical stimulation of tissues. The reactor further comprises means or has a shape making it easier to introduce the tissue or the solid part of an implant into a culture chamber, and for example, a wall or an element which is elastically deformable. The reactor can also comprise means for regulating the temperature. The reactor can be used to culture different types of cells and in the preparation of implants having various forms, compositions and uses.
