Abstract (en)

[origin: WO02055824A1] The invention relates to a sectional door comprising a plurality of closing elements which can be pivoted in relation to each other about horizontal axes and are guided in runners by means of laterally arranged rollers. Said runners comprise a vertical section, a horizontal section, and a curved section which connects the horizontal section to the vertical section. The drive device comprises a driveable drum having traction mechanisms. Said traction mechanisms engage with one of the closing elements and can also be coiled up on the drum. According to the invention, the drum is arranged behind the horizontal regions of the runners and perpendicularly thereto, in relation to the opening of the door, and the traction mechanisms are at least partially guided, indirectly or directly, on the runners.
