[origin: WO02068832A1] The invention relates to a fixing element (1) for insulation material for fastening insulation elements on a support. Said fixing element comprises a dowel (10) with a dowel shaft (11) having an axial passage (12) on whose one end a expansible zone (S) is configured and onto whose other end a flange-type pressure plate (13) is formed. An extended shaft section (14) is configured in the transition section from the flange-type pressure plate to the dowel shaft. Said shaft section has a receiving chamber that is coaxial to the longitudinal axis (X) of the dowel and has a diameter that is larger than the axial passage, thereby forming an annular support surface (142) enclosing the axial passage. A pin (2) can be inserted in the dowel to expand the expansible zone. Said pin has a pin shaft (22) and a head (21), said head being insertable in the receiving chamber of the dowel and being provided with a plastic cap (3) so as to fill out the receiving chamber.
