Abstract (en)
The gas heat exchanger consists of at least one chamber (6, 9) with couplings (7,10) for connecting to an EGR pipe inlet and outlet (5,8), and a housing (1) containing recycling fluid tubes (2). Each chamber and coupling is made in one piece by stamping, using commercial presses and a multi-stage operation. The gas to be cooled enters the heat exchanger through the inlet coupling and passes through the chamber and between the cooling fluid tubes to the outlet chamber and coupling to be mixed with the engine's intake air.

Il comprend au moins un réservoir (6, 9) et un raccord (7, 10) raccordant celui-ci à la ligne de recirculation des gaz d'échappement. Il est caractérisé en ce que le réservoir (6, 9) et le raccord (7, 10) sont intégrés en une seule pièce fabriquée par estampage. Il permet de réduire le poids et le coût de fabrication, en simplifiant également le processus de production. L'estampage permet en outre de définir des formes complexes de la surface de branchement du réservoir et du raccord, ce qui améliore ainsi le passage du flux gazeux.
