[origin: US2004050881A1] The invention relates to a drop cap for dosing the amount of liquid in the form of drops in a container, whereby the contents thereof which are to be dosed can be put under pressure. A throttling device is arranged in the direction of flow upstream from the input opening of the output channel arranged in the body of the cap in order to ensure that a predetermined drop volume is maintained in a reliable manner particularly when large drops are present, whereby said volume should be independent from the pressure applied from the liquid. Said throttling device can be embodied as a permeable opening in an additional separating wall. The invention also relates to a container comprising a drop cap.
