[origin: WO02070978A1] The invention relates to a locking device for a pistol comprising a trigger, a trigger mechanism and a striking pin, cock, or similar actuated thereby. The invention is characterised in that a cylinder lock (3) is disposed behind the magazine shaft in the handle of the weapon. The closing cylinder thereof can be rotated with the key (7), so that a transfer mechanism (6, 4) comprising bars, levers, threads and similar, and a locking element (9) can be moved from a position outside the movement path of one part of the trigger mechanism into a position in which it protrudes into the movement path of said part.
