[origin: WO02070996A2] In order to measure the amount injected (Vm) by an injection system (18), particularly in an internal combustion engine, a test fluid (22) is injected into a measuring chamber (12) by the injection system (18). The volume in the measuring chamber (12) is kept constant during injection so that measuring precision and stability of the measurement increases. Additionally, a gas volume (Vg) is provided in the measuring chamber (12). The injected volume (Vm) of the test fluid (22) is determined from the alteration in pressure (dP) in the measuring chamber (12) which is produced when injecting the test fluid (22). The injected volume (Vm) is determined by state equation for ideal gases.
