[origin: WO02078398A1] The invention relates to a ceramic cooking system with a glass ceramic plate, provided on the underside thereof with an insulation layer and heating elements for the direct heating of the glass ceramic plate. The bonding between the glass ceramic plate and the insulation layer may be improved, whereby the glass ceramic plate comprises a fine structure with structured elements on the underside thereof for an improved bond between the glass ceramic plate and the insulation layer. Said structural elements have a length of between 10 and 250 µm and a height of between 1 and 100 µm and at least partly form undercuts for engaging with the insulation layer.
