Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1369100A1] The system consists of an abdominal belt (1) with two straps (2, 3) and a support with two cords (7, 8) that can be attached at will to a lifting apparatus. The cords are fastened to the ends of the straps' side sections (2C, 3C), and each strap is able to slide relative to the abdominal belt and its support when a tension is applied to the cords. The dorsal sections (2B, 3B) are mounted on the back of the abdominal belt so they fasten automatically when the cords are tensioned as the person is lifted.
