Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1369181A1] A paint installation for the use of paints with high solids content comprises a spray gun 1, at least one paint conduit 7 and one pressurized air conduit 6 leading to the spray gun 1, at least one heat exchanger 2, preheating the paint and the pressurized air. The heat exchanger is connected to a source of preheated air located outside the paint booth. The preheated air flows around the paint coils 24, 25 and said pressurized air coil 26. At least one temperature sensor controls the entry and/or exit temperature of paint and/or hot air. The output of the temperature sensor is sent to a PLC, which is regulating the supply of heat exchange medium. The invention is preferably applied in continuously operating closed automatic paint installations. <IMAGE>
