[origin: EP1369184A2] Process for cleaning at least one glue nozzle (11) of a machine used in the tobacco processing industry or packaging industry comprises contacting a cleaning element (12) with the glue nozzle during normal operation of the machine. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) Process for operating a gluing device (10) of a machine used in the tobacco processing industry or packaging industry; (2) Use of a partially elastic belt in the cleaning of a glue nozzle; and (3) Machine used in the tobacco processing industry or packaging industry, especially in the production of cigarette packets. Preferred Features: The especially elastic cleaning element is moved during the cleaning of the glue nozzle.
