The diamond segment (12) is soldered or welded to a cutting disc and provided in one piece, with its working surface (20) facing the workpiece provided with a notch (16) at its centre, extending in a radial direction through the full segment and open to one side face (18) of the segment. An Independent claim for a cutting disc for natural or artificial stone and/or refractory material is also included.

Gegenstand der Erfindung ist eine Trennscheibe zum Bearbeiten von Naturstein, Kunststein und/oder Feuerfest-Materialien, mit einem Stammblatt (10) und mit einer Anzahl am Umfang des Stammblattes (10) aufgelöteter oder aufgeschweißter Diamant-Segmente (12). Eine solche Trennscheibe zu schaffen, deren Bearbeitungsfläche über die Lebensdauer des Segmentes plan bleibt, und bei der das Segment kostengünstig herstellbar ist, wird dadurch erreicht, dass die Ränder der Segmente (12) über den Umfang gesehen eine größere spanabhebende Fläche aufweisen, als die Mitte der Segmente (12). <IMAGE>
