Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1369825A2] The lock cylinder has locking noses (13) operated for releasing the lock upon decoding an authorization signal transmitted between a transmitter and receiver upon insertion of a key or a chip card. A reception antenna (14,15) on each opposite side (11,12) of the lock cylinder is coupled to a common electronic evaluation unit (20) via a change-over switch (17), operated in dependence on the side of the lock cylinder at which the key or the chip card is inserted.
