Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1369888A1] A gas circuit breaker (40) is connected in series with a vacuum circuit breaker and both are housed within an envelope containing an insulating gas. An operating rod (6) is attached to one of the gas circuit breaker contacts and a main spring (20) is restricted by stop rods (14'A) to allow for dead travel (D). A second spring (21) causes the vacuum circuit breaker contacts to open at the end of the dead travel
