Abstract (en)

[origin: WO0242528A1] The present invention relates to a sea-island type composite fiber. The sea-island type composite fiber used in warp knitting which is prepared by the direct spin draw method and by using alkali soluble copolymer polyester as a sea component and polyester mainly consisting of polyethylene terephthalate of more than 90 mole% as an island component, wherein the sea-island type composite fiber is characterized in that it satisfies the following physical properties at the same time: an initial shrinkage starting temperature the composite fiber: 55 SIMILAR 90 DEG C; a maximum thermal stress temperature the composite fiber: 130 SIMILAR 160 DEG C; and a maximum thermal stress per denier the composite fiber: 0.150 SIMILAR 0.250 g. The sea-island type composite fiber prepared by the present invention has good thermal shrinkage properties and excellent raising property and improves the appearance and touch of warp knit fabric.
