Abstract (en)
[origin: FR2822217A1] The tap, e.g. for a shower, contains a water/water heat exchanger to provide a discharge of water at the desired temperature without mixing the hot and cold flows. A standard control lever, moved vertically, opens, regulates or closes the flow of hot water, and simultaneously opens the flow of cold water to the heat exchanger to its maximum to prevent scalding. A rotary movement of the lever then operates a regulator plate to control the cold water flow to the heat exchanger and give at outlet flow at the desired temperature. In a variant the regulator plate can be replaced by a system of solenoid valves controlled by thermal sensors.
