Abstract (en)
Molten metal pouring procedure uses metal plates fixed to refractory inner surface of distributor before or after preheating. The procedure, for use with a continuous metal pouring installation that has an inner coating of a refractory material, consists of fastening metal plates with a composition corresponding to that of the poured metal to the surface of the refractory material. The fastening is carried out, e.g. by nailing or stapling, with at least some plates fitted prior to preheating the distributor, and the remainder after preheating, with a final preheating by induction.
