[origin: EP1371598A1] The two panels (1, 2) are hung from a carriage and during opening and closing movement carry out movements of different length in the same direction to move past each other on parallel paths with variable overlap. At the rear end (in the closing direction) of the trailing panel (1) is a slide shoe (21) which is guided in a rail (22) which is mounted on the structural side outside of the door opening. The slide shoe is fixed by screws for adjustment on the longitudinal side of the panel. The panels are twin-shelled bodies having at their lower end an apron reaching down close to the ground to define an installation chamber for guide rails and guide elements (10).
