[origin: EP1371926A1] Heat exchanger comprises plate-like flow channel elements (2) having at least two flow channels running parallel to each other and partially parallel to the longitudinal axis of the flow channel element, and a liquid vessel having a lid region (4), a base region (3), and a separating element (5). The liquid vessel has a connecting device for liquid to flow into and out of the vessel. The separating element divides the inner chamber of the vessel into two chambers so that the openings of the flow channels are in flow connection with each chamber of the vessel. The base region is connected to the lid region in a liquid-tight manner. The divided regions (7) have slit-like recesses (8) extending from the ends of the flow channel openings along the longitudinal axis of the flow elements. Preferred Features: The base region in a portion of the openings and especially in the region of the edge regions delimiting the openings protrudes into the vessel.
