[origin: WO02080730A1] The invention concerns an epilator comprising a housing (1) having a gripping part (2) along a longitudinal direction (L) of the housing (1) and a depilatory head (20) including at least hair-removing tweezers and mounted in the head portion (3) of the housing (1) connected to said gripping part (2) so as to be urged to rotate about a pivot pin (8). The invention is characterised in that said head portion (3) extends along an oblique direction (O) relative to said longitudinal direction (L) and it is capable of pivoting elastically within predetermined limits about said neutral oblique direction (O).
