Abstract (en)

[origin: WO0243835A1] The invention relates to a filter unit for purifying dust-laden process air, wherein a vertically aligned filter housing is divided by a partition bottom into a clean air chamber located on the top and a dust-laden air chamber located on the bottom, wherein a plurality of tube holes are arranged on the partition bottom, a filter tube that is open towards the clean air chamber being suspended from each of said holes. The invention aims at further improving said filter unit in such a way that the clean air chamber and/or each of the filter tubes can be cleaned from the inside. To this end, washing nozzles (3) that can be activated for washing and that spray the entire clean air chamber with wash water are mounted in the clean air chamber (10). One or several switchable drain valves (11) are arranged on the partition bottom (2) between the tube holes (6) and a least one evacuation valve (7) is mounted on the bottom of each tube, whereby the wash water flows practically by itself into the dust-laden air chamber (9) without auxiliary energy or control.
