Abstract (en)

[origin: WO02078852A1] A reversing filter centrifuge of a novel type is disclosed, whereby a compact construction is achieved and extraction of the solid component can be achieved essentially independent of the moisture content thereof. Said novel reversing filter centrifuge has no filter cloth and comprises a spinning drum (16), rotatably mounted in a drum housing (1), with a drum wall (18), comprising a stationary fixed filter medium, a driveshaft (3), rotating the drum, a cover (25), sealing the open end of the drum on the drum edge, a charging device for suspension to be filtered, with a filling line (23) leading to the interior of the drum and a drum floor (23'), arranged within the drum, whereby drum floor and filter medium or drum wall may be displaced axially relative to each other, in order to mechanically extract the solid component from the drum.
