[origin: WO02076736A1] A system and method for rupturing an encapsulated adhesive in a, sheet media (12) uses an activator unit (24). This unit can include one or more of the following: a pressure roller (52), a pair of pressure rollers (26), an activator blade (28), a set of rotatable discs (66) or a series of sets of rotatable discs. A sheet media having an encapsulated adhesive is fed past the activator unit in the system and method whereby the capsules will be ruptured. A feeder (22), label printer (16), cutter (36) and label applicator (38) can also be provided m this system.
