[origin: WO02079638A1] The invention relates to a fuel injection device (1) for internal combustion engines, comprising an injection valve (6), for each cylinder of the internal combustion engine, provided in a fuel supply line (5) and a hydraulic stroke stop (9), limiting the opening stroke of the valve member (11) of the injection valve (6), embodied as a hydraulic damping chamber (21). Said device further comprises a hydraulically operated stroke control valve (24), which closes the connection of the damping chamber (21) to the oil drain side (3), depending upon the pressure in the control line (25) thereof, whereby the control lines (25) of the individual stroke control valves (24) may be connected either to a low pressure reservoir (26) or an oil drain side (3), by means of a control valve unit.
