Abstract (en)

[origin: WO02081918A1] The invention relates to an oscillating displacement pump, in particular a diaphragm pump (P) for a liquid or gaseous delivery medium. Said pump has a delivery chamber, which is delimited on one side by a pump head and on the other side by a delivery element that is configured in particular as a diaphragm (6). The delivery element has a driven connection to a lifting drive, an inlet valve that is connected to an inlet connection piece and an outlet valve that is connected to an outlet connection piece being joined to the delivery chamber. The pump has a pulsation damper (45) on the pressure side, in addition to an excess-pressure limiting device (27) between the pressure side and the suction side, said devices being integrated into the pump head. If used as a liquid pump, an oscillation chamber (16) is integrated into the suction part of the pump head. This permits the reduction of peaks in pressure, both on the suction side and on the pressure side and a rise in pressure on the pressure side is limited to a predeterminable value.
