[origin: WO02081959A1] The invention relates to a plug connection for connecting a pipe section (2) to a matching section (3), wherein a stable pipe end section (2) is directly shaped from a plastic pipe as an integral plastic part. The pipe end section (2) has an annular groove (4) for receiving a seal (10) and furthermore a second annular groove (5) for receiving a steel ring (6). Said steel ring (6) is provided with at least two projections (7) as supporting areas for a catch spring (13) disposed in the matching section (13). The pipe end section (2), in the area of the projections (7) of the steel ring (6), is flared (9).
