[origin: WO02082191A1] The invention relates to devices, particularly embodied as wrist watches, with a universal time display device for the derivation or direct representation of the local time at a number of places on earth, whereby the surface of the universal time display device has identifiers for various places on earth. According to the invention, the universal time for a certain point, or at least a particular region of the earth may be intuitively and spontaneously read off, or may be made at least coarsely estimable for particular regions, whereby the universal time display device comprises a rotating body (1), in particular a ball with a representation of the continents of the earth and a drive for the rotating body is provided to turn the above through 360 DEG in 24 hours. In an advantageous embodiment, parts of the drive are located within the globe.
