Abstract (en)
[origin: WO02078050A2] The invention relates to a method that, for a device used for planning and/or monitoring the manufacturing process, generates an image of a network of supply members of this manufacturing process. These supply members furnish a system provider or other supply members with raw materials, semi-finished products, components and/or services. According to the invention, the necessary information is firstly obtained by the system suppliers of the system provider. In particular, the information, which presuppliers furnish to the system suppliers, is obtained for each system supplier. Afterwards, the information required by these presuppliers is furnished followed by the information required by pre- presuppliers. The image of the network is assembled from this information. An advantageous embodiment determines how the network is gone through in order to gradually construct the image. The generated image of the network is stored in a process database, to which the device for planning and/or monitoring has read access.
