The invention relates to a butter-dish, comprising a dish-part (2) into which the butter (3) can be placed and a cover-part (1) that can be placed over the butter (3). In the cover-part (1), a plate-shaped heating element (4) is placed. The heating element (4) can be connected to a current source.
