[origin: EP1375068A2] Centered clamping device for clamping workpieces on an NC machine tool has two clamping jaws (4) that are mounted on a threaded spindle (5) so that they move in opposing directions. The spindle is housed in a base plate (2). Two symmetrically positioned clamping levers pass through the workpiece mounting plate and are mounted in it using two bolts around which they pivot. Each lever connects at one end to the clamping jaw and at the other end to a spindle nut and pin around which the end rotates.
