A textile spinning rotor incorporates interchangeable components which, when exposed to ultra-violet light of a first pre-defined wavelength and visible or infra-red light in a second wavelength range, emit light of a pre-determined wavelength. The rotor is installed within a spinning machine in close proximity to two types of light source. Second wavelength light emission from the spinning rotor identifies the rotor and the presence or absence of the rotor surface finish or coating. Also claimed is a selective light detection assembly which registers the color codes. Further claimed is a spinning assembly incorporating the color-detection system and a commensurate indicator display.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein austauschbares Bauteil (3) einer Textilmaschine mit einer Oberflächenbeschichtung (18a) oder -vergütung, bei der erfindungsgemäß Farbelemente eingelagert sind, so daß die Farbelemente bzw. die umgebenden Bereiche der Beschichtung (18a) oder Vergütung bei Bestrahlung mit Licht einer ersten Wellenlänge oder eines Wellenlängenbereichs (102) mit einer zweiten vorbestimmten Wellenlänge oder einem zweiten vorbestimmten Wellenbereich (103) emittieren. Weiterhin wird eine Erfassungsvorrichtung (142, 143) mit einer Beleuchtungseinrichtung zur Beleuchtung eines solchen Bauteils (3) und zur Erfassung des emittierten Lichts (103) vorgesehen. <IMAGE>
