[origin: EP1375743A1] A paper-making machine has a forming drum with a regular pattern of surface (13) de-watering apertures (11, 11'). The apertures are arranged in two types of groups. The apertures in the first group type are each esp. surrounded by a circular groove (21). The circular groove (21) is concentric with the de-watering aperture (11). The circular groove (21) and the aperture (11) are not linked. Adjacent circular grooves overlap only in their peripheral zones. The width of the de-watering groove is small in comparison to the de-watering hole size.
