[origin: EP1375832A2] The engine (10) may have a cylinder bank (11) with two camshafts (13) in the cylinder head (12). Each camshaft has a phase adjuster (14) fed with oil via control valves (19). The oil pump (15) and the valves are controlled by a computer (16) with a ROM (Read Only Memory 18) and a calculating circuit (17). A pressure sensor (20) is attached to the oil pump.
